Max lives in California. Her heritage is part Native American and Spanish. Prior to dedicating herself to reading tarot and life coaching, she worked in the news media and communications for 17 years. Astrologically, Max is a Leo sun, moon, and rising.

In 2017, Max created Max's Tarot - a YouTube channel dedicated to providing insight into viewers' personal relationships. Max's Tarot currently has over 6 million views. In October 2018, another channel was created in Spanish - El Tarot de Max which currently also has over 16 million views.
